Vinyl and LVT for kitchens, bathrooms and busy rooms
Floors that shrug off spills, muddy boots and splashes from the bath — in wood, stone and tile looks.
Roll vinyl or tile-format LVT?

Sheet vinyl
Laid in one or two pieces with very few seams. Practical and good value for kitchens, bathrooms and cloakrooms.

LVT
Separate planks or tiles printed to look like timber, slate or ceramic. A damaged piece can be replaced almost invisibly.
Built for the wet rooms of the house
Most LVT is waterproof, with a built-in scratch and stain guard, so it copes well with the kitchen and bathroom. It's also tougher than real wood or tile — it doesn't dent or scratch as easily.
Sheet vinyl is the simpler, lower-cost option, and with so few seams there are fewer places for water to find its way in.
- Water-resistant surfaces
- Wood, stone and tile designs
- Warmer underfoot than ceramic tiles
- Easy to keep clean

Vinyl and LVT in Castleford kitchens
What's the difference between vinyl and LVT?
Sheet vinyl comes on a roll and is laid in one or two pieces. LVT comes as separate planks or tiles that look like wood, stone or ceramic and can be laid in patterns. Repairs are easier with LVT, as a single tile can be swapped out.
Is LVT hard-wearing enough for a family kitchen?
Yes. LVT is very durable, most of it is waterproof, and it has a built-in scratch and stain guard. It doesn't dent or scratch as easily as wood.
Can vinyl go in the same deal as my carpets?
Yes. Our Silver, Gold and Platinum full house deals include carpets and vinyls, so the kitchen and bathroom can be done alongside the rest of the house.
