About our mobile flooring shop
Mobile Carpets & Flooring Shop Castleford is run by Floor Coverings Local, a family business with over 30 years in flooring.
Flooring people, not shopkeepers
We're a family-run firm, and we've spent more than 30 years fitting carpets, vinyl and laminate. Early on we realised that the hardest part for customers was imagining a floor in their own home, so we stopped asking them to come to us.
Our mobile showroom brings the samples to your house. You choose in your own light, and because we don't run a high street shop, our prices stay below the high street.
From the first visit to the fitting and any aftercare, you deal with the same company — and our own fitters do the work.
What every customer gets
Whatever floor you choose, here's what to expect.
- Prices below the high street
- Free, no-obligation quotes
- No pushy sales — just advice
- Floor preparation when it's needed
- Payment by card or cash

So happy with floor coverings local! Had all downstairs (kitchen, hall, w/c & living room) fully laminated last week. Took the fitter 2 full days, he worked so hard! Absolute pleasure to have in our home and over the moon with the results and the price! Would 100% recommend.

Brilliant service, very quick and easy from making our first enquiry to getting a quote and getting it fitted. We had a full house fitted with both carpet and laminate. Everything was explained to us clearly and no hidden charges. The day of the fitting went very smoothly. The fitters arrived as arranged and were hardworking and got the whole house done very quickly to a very high standard. I would highly recommended floor coverings local.
